Midweek matches will commence on Tuesday 6 April and Thursday 8 April 2010. Kick-offs will, initially, be 6.30pm moving to 7.00pm as the light improves.

Coaches should be aware that this is the second week of the school holidays. Hopefully, early notification of the commencement of midweek matches will allow plenty time for free date requests where necessary.

Last Saturday saw the World Cup come early to Inverurie when Colony 13s staged their annual sponsored tournament at Garioch Sports Centre.
In a very close contest Holland in third and Spain in second were pipped by Winners France with no sign Thierry Henri's hand to cause controversy although a few questionable refereeing decisions along the way. Loudest cheer of the day was when Craig Hay for the winners slotted home a penalty against Dad Graeme with the big keeper being sent the wrong way. With a few players missing because of participation in North east trials young brothers Jack Smart and Aaron Gordon came in and made up the numbers with the latter scoring four goals in the process. Mums did their usual trade at the home bake stalls and over £1200 was raised for Club funds. Club chairman (and keeper for the defeated Spain) did the medal presentations and vote of thanks. Colony Park Girls are looking for players to join them as they look to expand into two age groups for the start of their season in March. The age groups will be Under 13's playing non-competitive development 7-a-sides and the Under 15's playing 11-a-side matches.
Training is currently indoors on Wednesday nights at Inverurie Academy. We would also like to remind you that girls are welcome at Colony Park from U8 upwards.
